My Story

I made my first "web page" when I was 8. My dad gave my brother and me an old laptop, and he showed us how to hit the F12 key to see under the hood of any website

From the first time I saw that code, I was fascinated. I wanted to know more, and read through his "Websites for Dummies" book as well as my 8 year old reading skills and eagerness would allow. It was then that I knew writing code is something I want to be really good at.

Little Black Dog

In May 2020, my wife Annie was working at a vet clinic in Minneapolis, when a woman walked in with a pup in a pillowcase. The lady worked at the local McDonalds, and she found this pup searching for scraps behind the dumpsters. The "Little Black Dog" had significant facial trauma, had recently had a litter of puppies, and had scarring all over her body. Given the extent of her injuries, and her behavior toward other dogs, it is likely that she was an escaped bait dog for dog fighting. I was initially reluctant to bring a third dog into our family, but I fell in love with the little goofball almost as quickly as Annie did, and we knew that we were her best shot for a good life.

As I was thinking of a name for my business, I kept coming back to the qualities I want to exhibit as a business owner (good work ethic, perseverance, focus, etc.). Many of these are qualities I imagine Gracie must've had to have to survive her injuries, as well as the streets of Minneapolis during a particularly cold winter.
